The first multi feed rat and mouse bait with fortec technology for increased bait consumption.
Ridak® Gold
The first multi feed rat and mouse bait with fortec technology for increased bait consumption.
Why Ridak® Gold?
Bait Description
Ridak® Gold is a ready-to-use rodenticide for the control of mice, brown rats and black rats including strains resistant to other anticoagulants.??A mixture of foraging grains and cut wheat are contained within the rodent bait. Ridak® Gold is the first rodent bait to use Fortec™ technology which improves the palatability for rats and mice, reducing rodent’s natural neophobia to the introduction of something new to their environment.??Controlled trials show that this rat and mouse bait is consumed far more readily than other difenacoum cut wheat vermin baits on the market.
What is Fortec™?
Extensive foraging grain research and studies of rodent behaviour have established the key factors responsible for the greater appeal of foods containing them.??This led us to the development of a patented technology - Fortec™ - which significantly improves rodenticide consumption by making the most of foraging grains to produce a more appealing and arresting mixed bait to rats and mice.??The key to this technology lies in making the added grains sufficiently different from the bulk of the rodent bait in size, shape, colour, smell, taste and texture. Important too is the amount and quality of grain used in the rat and mouse bait as well as the subtlety of their flavour.??While traditional rat poisons of a uniform consistency rely upon the manipulation of taste and smell to stimulate consumption, the new technology works by appealing more completely to all the rodent senses involved in natural feeding behaviour.
Ridak® Gold rodent bait available in plastic bottles (1 kg), plastic tubs (3 & 10 kg) and cartons (20 kg bulk).
How to use rat and mouse bait
When signs of rats or mice are seen, survey your premises inside and out to determine the extent and location of the vermin infestation.
- Check for rat runs along walls and in vegetation around buildings.
- Check for rat holes, especially near water, up to 100m away.
- Check inside buildings for damage and rodent droppings.
- Check for vermin tracks in dust and mud.
Rats:
Place 100-200g of bait in dry locations within the infested area, near burrows, on runways & where rat droppings are seen. Outdoors, rat poison should be covered to prevent access by children, animals & birds. Use covers constructed from drainpipes, open-ended boxes, or sheets of metal or wood, secured at an angle against a wall.
Mice:
Place 20-30 g of bait 1-2 metres apart where there are signs of activity such as mouse droppings, gnawing or tracks. Protect baits as indicated. Inspect mouse baits frequently, replacing eaten bait. If a mouse bait point is completely consumed, increase the quantity & replenish until bait is left untouched by the vermin.
